Sophie Brown is an international 5 star event rider. Sophie invests in regular coaching from top international trainers and works daily on a number of horses ranging from 3 years olds to established event horses. She bought her main horse (WIL) unbroken and has produced him up to the level he is now (Recently Placed 3rd @ Millstreet CCI**** and completed Burghley CCI*****)
Most importantly Sophie enjoys teaching riders of all levels from beginners to advanced. Her Flatwork and Jumping sessions help instill confidence in both horses and riders, and help develop safe jumping techniques – especially important for XC riders. Sophie’s sympathetic and uniquely fun approach is particularly helpful for nervous riders.
Sophie is eager to learn herself and is forever wanting to expand her equine knowledge in both her eventing, riding, coaching, management and care side of the business. She is a qualified BHS Stage 4 in complete horsemanship currently waiting to sit her BHS Stable Managers exam. Sophie is also a qualified First Aider. She has tuition with numerous international trainers over the three disciplines of dressage, show jumping and cross-country and thereby gains invaluable knowledge which she can share when teaching others.
Sophie enjoys teaching riders of all ages and abilities and has a specific interest in riders wishing to compete and the production of young horses and up and coming rider partnerships.
She has also helped many riders achieve their BHS exams and often runs training up to and including stage 3 at Cottagers Plot.
